2nd Annual “Jammin’ For The Animals” Festival @ Blue Falls Grove; Leesport, PA (near Reading, PA) ~ July 30th-31st, 2010 (Fri/Sat) ~ Fri 6:30pm-10:30pm and Sat 1pm-10:30pm w/camping ~ Gates open at 5pm on friday & noon on saturday…KIDS & ANIMALS VERY WELCOMED!!!
Artists: Cabinet, Natural Breakdown, Dakini, BuzzUniverse, Good Lovin’ Jamband, Flux Capacitor, Fellswoop, David Cullen, Mike Miz, Estaban & Friends, George Crow & Cody Chelius ~~~ Also, the Reading Juggler’s Club will be performing as well as doing a juggling workshop from about 3pm-6pm. Tina Hemmerle of Spirit Hoops will also be performing & doing hula hooping workshops throughout the day. Todd Grube of Downdog Yoga, Carol Lott, Naomi Mazy & David Dragonfly will be leading yoga workshops throughout the day on Sat in the Yoga Camp. Also, keep your eyes open for live painting during the music by “The Route 222 Crew” & Jon “Crazy Red-Beard” Blake plus others; glassblowing by Dave Statler of Dragonfly Studio & Gallery; a tie-dye workshop by Keith Giordano, “Making Hemp Jewelry” with Connie ‘The Candle Lady’, as well as seminars in tattooing & piercing, plus so much more…
~ Christine Mitchell of Christine Mitchell Photography will be taking pictures of pets & the prints will be available for purchase with all the proceeds going to the Humane Society of Berks County.
Info: This family-friendly, camping and jam-oriented music & arts festival at the beautiful Blue Falls Gro…ve in Leesport, PA (10 miles north of Reading, PA) includes an exciting & well-rounded collection of bands starting Friday night with Good Lovin’ Jamband (6:30-8pm), David Cullen (8:00-8:30pm) & Cabinet (8:30-10:30pm) on the main stage. For those of you who don’t know David Cullen, he’s a 2-time Grammy Award winner, AND Reading’s best-kept secret! It’s hard to even imagine what’s in store for us all!! Cabinet will then entertain us with a late-night acoustic campfire set (11:30-1am). The main stage picks back up on Saturday at 1pm with Fellswoop (1-2pm), George Crow & Cody Chelius (2-2:30pm), Flux Capacitor (2:30-4pm), Mike Miz (4-4:30pm), BuzzUniverse (4:30-6pm), Mike Miz (6-6:30pm), Dakini (6:30-8pm), Estaban & Friends (8-8:30pm) and Natural Breakdown (8:30-10:30pm). Dakini then plays a late-night acoustic campfire set (11:30-1am) ~ The stage is a covered pavilion with plenty of nearby choice space for camping. This 2nd annual multi-arts festival, which benefits the Humane Society of Berks County in memory of my brother, Bobby Jones, guarantees to be a feast for the senses. Included will be plenty to do for the kids & adults alike with a feeling of total brotherly/sisterly camaraderie & a complete family vibe ~ This gorgeous rural setting is exactly what music fans are looking for in a jamband festival atmosphere…hiking, swimming, fishing (with PA license), juggling & hula hooping workshops, tie-dying & pottery workshops, piercing & tattooing seminars, glassblowing, fire performances, live painting in the art village, disc golf competition, a Chinese auction, raffles, 25+ food & craft vendors, dozens of kids activities in their own pavilion, etc; all taking place while the hand-picked music continuously flows & captivates us all. ~ Late night activities will be planned both nights ~ Modern restrooms & port-a-johns available ~ Cooking with GAS GRILLS ONLY allowed on site ~ NO glass allowed! (MUST use plastic cups/cans) ~ Friendly animals are very welcomed!! ~ Centrally located in the tri-state area, Blue Falls Grove is less than 2 hours from most NY, NJ & PA metro areas and only a short distance from Interstate 78, as well as PA Routes 222 & 61 ~ Dave Cherba of Scarlet Sound will be providing the sound reinforcement ~ PlusVibes Productions will greet you at the gate plus supply the lighting & Vibes Patrol ~ Don Dix of GigGoals will provide stage management ~ Advance tickets are limited & available through: Dragonfly Studio & Gallery at 398 Penn Ave in W.
